NEW ALBUM - OCTOBER 2013

Because Music will shortly confirm the release of Keziah's 6th studio album, entitled "CAPTAIN RUGGED" at a precise date to be announced sometime during October 2013. It will be Keziah's first "concept" album, which is based on a story he wrote about an "alter-ego' fictional third-world Superhero and his dark adventures in and around the urban nightmare that is modern day Lagos. The release will be accompanied by a 128-page graphic novel published by Damiani in November 2013 & illustrated by his exceptionally gifted friend and street artist, lagos-born, Native Maqari. The storyline / dialogue has been honed and refined by award-winning Nigerian playwright and movie director, Biyi Bandele. There will be a special 'collectors edition' of the book and CD signed by all three artists and exclusively available on this website.

Keziah's many fans and Facebook followers will already know the album has taken around 3 years of intense writing and recording to complete in such diverse locations as Jamaica, Ghana, Spain, Lagos, Los Angeles, London, Paris and finally in New York where the album was recently mixed & mastered by Keziah's trusted friend, legendary mixing engineer, Russell Elevado. The album was produced by his long term collaborator, Kevin Armstrong. It has been worth the wait!

EP release July 2013

An EP including the songs, "Afronewwave" and "Lunar House" along with some outstanding remixes will precede the album and will be released in July to coincide with Keziah's appearance in support of THE ROLLING STONES at London's Hyde Park on July 13th 2013. There are also special exclusive, spontaneous "live party' events planned for Paris and other locations to celebrate the EP's release
